On June 14th, 2015, D joined D's side. DeeDee and Danny are one of the sweetest couples I know. While Danny is hilarious and full of joy, Deedee is his perfect pair, sweet, so kind and full of laughter (we all know why!). And their wedding mirrored them perfectly. When we stepped onto the White House grounds, we were blown away by it's beauty. Surrounded by woods, with twinkle lights strung through the lusciously green trees, it was the perfect place to make such a powerful declaration of love. Everyone was a part of this beautiful couple. Beautiful story after story from family and friends proved this. DeeDee's Grandma made their amazing wedding cake (start a business already, geez!). Not only are DeeDee and Danny amazing, but both of their families welcome every stranger into their numbers immediately. Thank you, to this loving family, for giving me the gift of witnessing your day and welcoming me into your ranks with open hearts.
As I've picked up my camera to shoot weddings again, I've been thinking of June 2, 2012, the first wedding I ever shot. For Bethany and Kyle Happy. Their last name fits them like a white lacey glove. My friend, Bethany, knew that I had only been a second-shooter for the studio that I was working for (JEM Photography) but gave me a chance as her photographer anyway; what bravery! And they made it easy for me; everything about the wedding was beautiful. The ceremony and reception were on a cozy boat drifting along the west coast of Michigan and after the reception, we walked along the shoreline ourselves while the sun set. The most beautiful part of the day, though, was the bride and groom. Their playful spirits and comfortable love for each other reveals a deep, genuine friendship. It's been just over two years since their wedding and now they have a munchkin on the way! Bethany and Kyle, thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful day!
A pursuer of Love and tasty treats.
