Sarah is a close friend of mine. Naturally, when she asked me to shoot her engagement pictures, many pitches of squeel came jumping out of me. Poor girl. Since I'd been in California for 2 years, this was the first time I met Max. I couldn't be more excited to welcome him into the family. This shoot was a mix of me gushing at how cute they were together and us braving all kinds of fields. I CANNOT wait for their wedding day!
A barn wedding in Redding, California? Heck yes! I was so pumped that Chelsea and Levi flew me out to photograph their wedding. Chelsea is the quentisential DIY bride. ALL of the details, she created. On the morning of her wedding, she was still tweaking the place! She got ready in the cutest house on the Ponderosa Ridge Ranch Pink hair never looked so good.
Look at 'em. Ain't they cute? Skyler and Katie couldn't be more perfectly matched. She is his cream and he is her coffee. Skyler leaves a trail of side-splitting laughter everwhere he goes and Katie leaves people feeling loved a cared for. What a team, what a team. We started in downtown Monroe, Mi, pranced over to Munson Park, skimmed along the River Raisin, visited the YMCA (there's a creek back there, who knew?) and ended at the IHM Motherhouse. This engagement shoot was so fun! Enjoy!
Summer and Josh's engagement was right out of a magical garden. At the time, Summer was living in Redding and Josh in San Francisco. During one of Summer's visits to the big city, Josh had their friends and family come for his surprise proposal. While Josh was preparing the seaside spot with twinkling lights, Summer's and her besties were having a beautiful day together. During the girls' day out, they spent some time painting. Summer chose to paint sunflowers. When it was time for Summer and Josh to meet, he met her with a bright bouquet of sunflowers. Lema Ranch's beautiful landscape was the perfect spot for these two's engagement session. The way that Summer and Josh love God and love each other is inspiring. One of my favorite shoots with my beautiful friends.
The Rusic Rose in Red Bluff, CA was the perfect spot for this intimate wedding. I stepped onto the scene to find Sofia relaxed, helping with decor, fixing flowers, laughing with her family... Oh yes, this was going to be a good day. With her sister, Rosemary, as her maid of honor, their time getting ready was full of love and laughter. Blain arrived just as calm and kind as Sofia. Their moments before the ceremony in a blind "first look" were so sweet. They didn't want to see each other before the wedding. At least, not Blain! And as he waited at the alter, you could see his excitement! And there she was, his beautiful bride, a picture of grace, kindness, love and beauty, coming to meet him. As the sun was setting and the first dance was on its way, we noticed something else on its way... rain! Everyone took the tables under the awning for shelter and just in time. It started coming down, and down and down. It was a downpour! Thunder, lightning... and hail! But a little rain didn't keep this family from the party. What a beautiful day. It seems that Sofia and Blain know what is important, love. Throughout the whole day, that is what was most apparent. Their love for each other and for their families. It was such a gift to get to be a part of this crazy beautiful day! Much love to Sofia and Blain, who already have it all.
A pursuer of Love and tasty treats.
